The fundsforNGOs “Share Your Proposal” Contest aims to showcase select proposals to fundsforNGOs users and members, for the purpose of sharing best practices and increasing awareness of our tools and services amongst NGOs and individuals around the world. If you or your NGO have an amazing proposal you want to share and also want a chance to win $500, enter the fundsforNGOs “Share Your Proposal” Contest!
fundsforNGOs will choose and award one NGO with a $500 small grant once in every 3 months.
Rules and Regulations
Opening and closing date:
The fundsforNGOs "Share Your Proposal" ("contest") begins on May 1, 2019 9:00AM GMT and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Participation is open to any person in any country, unless prohibited by local or United States law. Participants need to be 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Participants must have an email address to participate. Employees of fundsforNGOs ("Sponsor"), and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies are not eligible to participate. fundsforNGOs can exclude any participant for any or no reason at its own discretion.
Participants will be asked to submit a winning proposal of a nominated NGO or Network as the potential recipient of the Prize. Only registered NGOs and active Networks are eligible to receive the prize with the exception of NGOs active in countries where it is not possible to legally register. The prize winner must be legally able to receive the $500 prize. NGOs and Networks need to be able to submit proof of registration (or similar) before the prize can be awarded. Such proof can include official registration documents, certificates of registration, minutes of meetings, website, list of members, etc. fundsforNGOs can exclude any NGO or Network from the contest for any or no reason at its own discretion.
During the contest period, you can submit a proposal by filling out the official registration form given below. Participants are required to request authorization of their NGO nominee before submitting a proposal and completing registration. No mechanically produced submissions are permitted. Incomplete submission/entries are void. fundsforNGOs is not responsible for lost, late, or submissions not received regardless of the cause. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address used for registration.
The proposal submitted must have resulted in funding being awarded to the NGO or Network nominated within the past five (5) years. The proposal length can be any – but is recommended to range from 1 to 20 pages. The minimum size of funding received must be over US$1000. Each proposal can only be submitted once, but representatives may submit more than one original proposal per NGO/Network. The name of donors/funders can be deleted in the submission document if required. All submissions must be submitted using the submission form in MS Word or PDF format.
Winners are selected from the list of proposals submitted during the previous 3 months and the winner is announced at the end of every fourth month.
The winning NGO or Network (the official producer of the proposal) will receive $500 paid through PayPal or Bank Transfer or other legal, eligible method. Payment will be effected after eligibility criteria of the nominated NGO or Network have been satisfied.
The prize is awarded "as is", and any taxes, or any other costs, fees, bank charges, or expenses are the sole responsibility of the prize recipient. If by reason of error, more prizes are claimed than the two prizes available, a jury will review submission to award the two prizes. Under no circumstances will more than two prizes be awarded.
The winner will be notified by email to the address provided at registration. The Winner must claim the prize by responding to the notification email within 7 days of notification. fundsforNGOs reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if it deems this necessary. If the potential winner fails to timely claim the prize, is deemed ineligible, or if the prize notification email is returned as undeliverable, the prize is considered forfeited. In such cases, an alternate winner will be selected by the jury.
Announcement of Winner
The name of the winner and his/her nominated NGO or Network will be made available on https://fundsforngos.org
Acceptance of the prize requires the winning NGOs or networks to agree and abide by all rules and regulations outlined within.
Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to fundsforngos.org to use the winner’s name, writing, logo, and image for purposes of marketing, in any medium, without further compensation or notice.
Use of Submitted Proposals
Any person submitting a proposal authorizes fundsforNGOs to reproduce the proposal on its website and/or add it to its database. A select number of proposals will be published on the fundsforNGOs websites as “best practices” for the benefit of all fundsforNGOs users and members. Any proposal submitted may be added to the fundsforNGOs restricted proposals database. fundsforNGOs may use submitted proposals for other purposes in both online and offline settings at its own discretion.
Information collecting during the contest
fundsforNGOs and its affiliates are not responsible for any and all failures of any kind related to this contest (whether caused by computer or human error). Participants release fundsforNGOs from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever arising in connection with this Prize including.
Decisions of fundsforNGOs on all matters related to this prize are final. Any legal disputes arising under this prize are subject to the laws of the State of New York, USA and exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall be in the state or federal courts located in New York, NY, USA. fundsforNGOs reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest, Prize or its terms for any reason, including but not limited to, fraud, misconduct or technical failures. fundsforNGOs reserves the right to disqualify or prohibit the participation of any individual, NGO, network or other entity.
